BUSILI is a community-based organization in Bungoma raising transformative leaders and empowering church, youth, and women through agribusiness, livelihoods, and faith-rooted leadership training.
I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
The Bungoma Shepherds Innovative Leaders Initiative (BUSILI) exists to raise innovative and transformative leaders who drive sustainable change in the church and community. We believe leadership and livelihood go hand in hand — a leader who cannot feed their household cannot easily shepherd others.
Our mission is to empower church leaders, youth, and women through leadership training, economic empowerment, and agribusiness innovation — building people who build Bungoma.
From the soil to the pulpit, our work is grouped into four practical pillars that reflect how change actually happens in Bungoma's homes and churches.
Equipping church and community leaders with mentorship, advocacy skills, and a platform to speak for the vulnerable.
Local initiatives co-designed with churches and residents to address everyday needs.
Mentorship and training that build confident, capable local leaders.
Speaking up for fair treatment, resources, and dignity for the people we serve.
Sustainable agribusiness hubs that turn Bungoma's land and water into reliable household income.
Training in modern, sustainable farming techniques for better yields and income.
Tree planting and land-care practices that protect Bungoma for the next generation.
Fish farming as a fast-growing, nutrition-rich livelihood for member households.
Practical support for goats, cattle, and dairy as a path to household stability.
Low-cost poultry projects giving women and youth a quick route to income.
Looking after the wellbeing of members and households so livelihoods can be sustained.
Health awareness, basic care access, and referrals for members and their families.
Savings, monthly contributions, and access to capital that members can rely on.
Practical skills and a platform for young people to build their own future in Bungoma.
Vocational and entrepreneurial skills matched to real, local market needs.
Forums, expos, and mentorship that channel youth energy into innovation and income.
Church leaders, youth, and community members who support BUSILI's vision and objectives are welcome to join.
Membership gives you a voice in how BUSILI grows, and a place in a network built around faith, leadership, and livelihood.
BUSILI operates under a written constitution that sets out our vision, membership rules, and governance — so every member knows exactly how the organization works.
